Gotta give a shout out to the Old Nole, who has a birthday today. Happy birthday, Dad! I hope one of your gifts is a new hosting provider. :-p

But wait, that’s not all! Celebrating the big oh-two today is my lovely neice, Audrey. Happy birthday, Audrey!

Public Service Thwarted

Every year, I look forward to a weekend of volunteering for the Tour De Cure, the charity bike ride from Buies Creek to Wilmington. I’m bummed I’ll miss this year’s ride because we’ll be on our way to Italy.

Yeah, I know, I know. Italy vs. a weekend spent driving 600 miles around eastern NC and sleeping in a tent. I’m not knocking Italy at all, but I love helping out for this event. It’s a great cause and I always make new friends and meet interesting people.

Hopefully, there’ll be other events I can participate in this summer.

My Peeps Are Back!

There was no time for blogging last night because I was way too happy catching up with my newly-reunited family. There were plenty of smiles and dances shared once I got home. Hurray!

Remote Viewing, Day Two

I just posted a long recap of today’s RV class. I didn’t have the kind of success as yesterday, but it was interesting nevertheless.

Back to reality for the rest of the week. Kelly, Hallie and Travis should be home when I get home from work tomorrow. Boy, I can’t wait to see them!

Remote Viewing Results In Gallery

I’ve posted my successes and failures in a new remote viewing gallery.

I decided last night that remote viewing is like geocaching except you leave the GPS and maps at home and just use your noggin. In fact, your noggin stays at home, too. Think of it as extremely lazy geocaching. 🙂

I also posted more details at Mindblogging.com, as usual.

Now its off for our last day’s sessions. See you in the afternoon.

TriLUG Presentation: Open Source Sandboxes

I’m off to the Red Hat to present “Open Source Sandboxes” at the February TriLUG meeting. I’ll be showing some neat tricks which can be done with virtualzers and emulators. Like running Windows on a Mac.

It should be a fun talk. Blog at ya later.

Familiar Moves

I did two things this weekend that I hadn’t done in a while. I picked up my guitar and spent a few hours learning new songs. It felt good to have my fingertips toughen up again, though I’m still a little rusty.

Then talk about rusty! My neighbor was out shooting baskets at his house, so I wandered over and played some one-on-one and Horse. He won both times, but they were very close games. It was good exercise, though, and I felt fantastic the rest of the day. Gotta make exercise a regular thing.
