I drive my cARRR back from Maryland yesterday afternoon and had a surprisingly smooth trip. Driving really can beat taking a plane if the timing is right.
Good to be back in Cackalacky.

A Pirate’s Life
Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer
I’m a crusty old pirate, I live by the sea
I say ARR! To me mates and they say ARR! To me
We’ll sing a sea chantey and play the guitARR
The swashbucklers favorite song ARR ARR ARR ARR

Nothing like being in Annapolis on International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Arrrrrr!
Kelly and I began documenting our lives as parents on the Hallie and Travis page weeks after we became parents. The site has grown, largely through Kelly’s posting, and has become a resource of sorts for other parents. Tonight another parent discovered the blog and posted a reply. Instant camaraderie!

Wow. Its 10 PM and I actually just spent two bucks in the hotel store on dental floss. Never thought I’d ever become this obsessed with my teeth!
Tomorrow be International Talk Like A Pirate Day, lest ye wench-chasing, grog-guzzling ways have caused ye t’forget.
Arrrr!
I’m heading north in the morning to the company’s home base in Annapolis. Gonna meet some customers, do some support, and wreak havoc with the status quo for a few days. Spent some time yesterday with Travis at Lowes, looking for some piping I could use to hook up a garden hose to the tank. Out of a long aisle there was exactly nothing I needed. Guess I’ll have to be more creative.

The weather station reports 1.54 inches of rain fell at MT.Net yesterday. I had guessed 1.50. Pretty close!
On the heels of what was Tropical Storm (and briefly Hurricane) Humberto, Tropical Storm Ingrid is now churning towards North Carolina. My guess is that Ingrid will turn north before getting to us, but I Am Not A Meterologist (IANAM). I sure wouldn’t complain if Ingrid stopped by just long enough to dump a bunch more rain on us, though.
