The clerk for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District has deemed it unnesessary for me to report for Jury Duty two days before our son is born. I am quite pleased, as it would have been quite distracting to not be able to bolt at a moment’s notice should Kelly go into labor.

In my request for dismissal, I emphasized my desire to complete this duty at a later date. I hope they take me up on that. It’s an important duty of being a citizen.
