A Taste Of Spring This Weekend

Kelly, Hallie and I enjoyed a wonderful spring-like weekend this weekend. Both days were sunny and warm – today’s temperature reached 75 degrees. It was exactly what the doctor ordered to cure the winter blues.

Looking out at our trees and shrubs I saw many buds and new growth. Having taken the brunt of the winter fury this season, the plant life has decided enough is enough: bring on spring!

Rain, Rain, Go Away

I am so sick of rain. Make that precipitation in general. It rained so hard early this morning that I couldn’t sleep.

We’ve got the weather of Seattle without its music scene and cool coffeeshops. At least we don’t have its heroin problem, however.

Blogs And The Future

What if weblogs are the first step towards a new society? What if this means of looking into people’s thoughts began to build trust in society? After all, if you know what I’m thinking, it’s easier to trust me, right?

The great promise of the Internet is to make possible communication that knows no boundaries. Weblogs may take that promise further and break down boundaries to trust.

The world’s development accelerates the more we interact with each other.

Naked People For Peace

I read in a local paper today that some local activists were planning to march naked through Chapel Hill today. Calling themselves “Naked People For Peace” and affiliated with the Baring Witness group, they announced that they would march at 6 PM this evening.

Chapel Hill police said anyone running around nekkid would be promptly arrested. Come on, officers! Give ’em a break. After all, it’s Mardi Gras. Naked people are legal today.
