Wow. John Hughes, producer and director of many classic 80s teen flicks. died today at the age of 59. No one growing up in the 80s can avoid feeling this loss.
Where would my generation be without National Lampoon’s Vacation; Sixteen Candles; The Breakfast Club; Ferris Bueller’s Day Off; and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles; among many others?
I feel officially old now.
Where would we be? I dunno…maybe work? home? vacation? Living our lives as we have?
Dude, I love the films too but in the grand scheme of things they were just fun times. Maybe because of his film somebody else didn’t get a chance and we missed out on that person’s art? Who’s to say we’re not worse off?
