We’re under contract!

For those who’ve been wondering, yes our home is now under contract! The buyers saw the home yesterday afternoon, fell in love with it, and immediately went to work on an offer. And as their agent told us, it is a “beautiful offer” indeed: above list price and with a few extra things thrown in. Though we got our other expected offer late yesterday, it was out of the running before it even came in.

We’re thrilled that we’ve found a buyer who is as enthusiastic about our home as we’ve been. We know when we leave the neighborhood will be in good hands. Already we’re thinking up ways to get our future residents up to speed on the wonders of their new home and neighborhood.

Things will happen pretty quickly from here on out. We’ve signed the contract this afternoon and now the parade of inspections will take place. Our buyers are looking to close on April 25th: less than a month away. The closing date is perfect for them and for us, too, as it avoids the two-mortgage situation.

It is amazing how quickly things happened yesterday. Like I said before, when the home is right for you you know instantly. This family knew instantly. We look forward to meeting them and making them as happy with our home as we’ve been!
