Buy naming rights to “lake,” get a house thrown in for free

Craigslist frowns upon simply reposting one’s ad, so I had to get a little creative this morning.

Behold my new ad. Can you tell this whole moving business is making me a little punchy?

Naming rights to Raleigh’s Memorial Auditorium, the RBC Center, and Walnut Creek Amiptheatre have sold in the millions! Why break the bank when your name can be on your very own “lake” for a mere $229,900 – and get a charming house and a huge yard thrown in for free! It’s an unbeatable deal!!!!!11!!!1!

Your lake consists of a large plastic tank containing up to 325 gallons of free, nourishing rainwater and can be used to keep the surrounding 1/3 acre, fenced yard beautiful and green throughout the year. Water flows into the lake from a rain gutter attached to a charming, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home. The home’s bright, open floor plan spanning 2,050 feet provides a generous basin for the lake, keeping it topped off all year round – so much so that the lake has never been empty since its creation in September! Take that, Falls Lake!

Again, along with naming rights to your own lake, you’ll become the proud new owners of a beautiful, well-manicured 1/3 acre fenced yard and a charming 4 bedroom home with garage. The home is in move-in condition and can be viewed at GreatRaleighHome.Com.

Don’t miss this opportunity! See the house and “lake” today by calling 523-4336 or emailing movein at greatraleighhome.com.

8321 Hobhouse Circle, Raleigh, NC, 27615, in the family-friendly neighborhood of Windsor Forest! Agents welcome!

(*) Ok, so the lake really a big, honkin’ rain tank, but you get the idea.

  1. Love the house prices in your area. My daughter is looking at a house in Durham and its asking price is only $130K.

We are thinking of making an offer on a manufactured home on Orcas to live in while we build the dream house on the mountain and the asking price for it is $320K.

At least it doesn’t look like a trailer and it has a nice view. It’s within walking distance to Eastsound. 257 Geer Lane if you want to google map it. The studio apartment that we can rent out is a bonus. On our last trip to the island we took my step-son and his girlfriend (she’s an architect so we thought we would pick her brain) and we rented the little studio apartment for them. They loved it, so when my wife saw the property was for sale she got excited. Expect I will be flying out to inspect it this week. We are just waiting on some more pictures.

  2. Hmm. I don’t like the house prices in Eastsound! 🙂 The view, however, is quite nice, considering. Being walking distance from town is also a plus in my book. Say, if that studio apartment is ever vacant during the summer . . .

Say hello to the island for us, Ron! We miss it!

  3. The studio apartment is pretty small. Might have to leave the kids with grandma and make it a real second honeymoon.

I’m sure the island misses you too. It’s certainly been calling me!
