Either they stole (fixed through electronic voting) the election or Americans are the dumbest people on the planet!!! … how can anyone vote for the worst pResident in the history of this country??? … HOW?!?! … I could fill your server up with my rantings about this corrupt administration but I’ll stop with a joke (?) … Q: What is the difference between Vietnam and Iraq??? … A: George W. Bush had a plan to get out of Vietman!!! … I already thought the country has gone to hell during the past 4 years … 4 more years of this guy and we just might be a 3rd world nation with several wars going on all over the world … Iran is next!!!
Matt
I’ve got another joke: How do you re-elect the worst president in the history of the country? Run John Kerry against him.
That attitude right there is why John Kerry lost. You are alienating 51% of the national base by comments like that. Americans aren’t stupid. John Kerry does not have great appeal and he still got lots of the vote.
When the Democrats find a candidate that will actually connect with the people instead of P. Diddy and Bruce Springsteen, then they will win the presidency.
This from someone who did not vote for George Bush…
Actually Matt, I voted Libby. I think you’re a Libby also. Did you do the party proud or did you vote for Kerry thinking the Libby vote was a wasted vote?

“John Kerry does not have great appeal” – Who cares? That’s why Democrats are feeling disenfranchised and depressed right now. Bush has “appeal” because he makes us forget he was born in Connecticut, rich and holding several silver spoons by putting on a Texas swagger and accent, and re-naming his mansion a “ranch”. Appeal? Why does it matter? We weren’t supposed to be electing a drinking buddy. We were supposed to be supporting the intelligent principled guy who, while boring during speeches, had our best interests at heart and who would actually help, rather than harm, the majority of Americans.
Also, people are feeling like Americans are stupid, because even a laid off steel worker in Ohio, hit hard by Bush policies, with a kid or two getting shot at in Iraq in an unjust war STILL went out and voted for Bush, because he felt some vague notion about “family values”. Besides, they were all really geared up to get to the polls to back the all-important gay marriage ban. Our prejudice as a nation is speaking loudly right now, so forgive those of us with actual Christian compassion for others for being embarrassed at our country’s false idols and false sense of what’s right.
I thought Kerry was a good candidate. People would be saying the same if Dean or Clark or anyone else had run. You can’t blame the candidate for being smeared effectively by Karl Rove, because ANYONE could be smeared effectively by Karl Rove.

🙂
pretty much sums up my view.
On the bright side, Marion “Bitch Set Me Up” Barry has won another seat on the DC City Council.
