Political Amnesia

I discovered last night that Grier Martin, who ran as a Democrat for a seat in the N.C. House, is actually a registered Republican. While I find that a bit odd, the N.C. Democratic Party certainly didn’t, pouring $150,000 into his campaign against fellow Republican Don Munford.

Strange bedfellows, indeed.

UPDATE. [23 Nov 2004]: I read the wrong voter record. Grier is a Democrat and I’m an ass. See the updated story for my mea culpa.

  1. See, the political system sucks. People vote for their party.

    Democrat good, Republican evil
    Republican strong, Democrat wussy

It doesn’t matter that your Republican candidate is a big government expansionist. He’s a a republican so I’m voting for him.

It doesn’t matter that your Democrat candidate slashed welfare or she’s a gun toting nut. She’s a democrat so she’s got my vote.

Oh yeah, we want a minority woman in power because we’ve never had one and it would look good. Oh, she’s for the other party? She’s not qualified, she sucks. She’ll ruin the country.

    blah blah blah.

    Vote Libertarian!

    Scoot
