I heard a rumor they are looking to move into blog analytics by buying local phenom company Blogbeat.
That would be an excellent move.

Andy and I both quoted Jason Caplain’s weblog on the same day, though its unclear who’s post was first. I did get independent confirmation that there is some truth to the Google rumors. So give me the edge. 🙂
I have no idea who Google may be buying. It could be ChannelAdvisor, or it could be a handful of other local companies loaded with talent. We’ll just have to see.
