Going Out Of Business Sale!

I know the furniture industry has been hit hard by the new economic landscape, but I’ve gotta wonder about some places. For instance, on Old Wake Forest Road, the High Point Furniture Connection has hit on tough times. While some stores meet their maker with merciful speed, the High Point Furniture Connection has managed to drag its demise out seemingly forever. Why, I can remember three years ago when it began its “final days,” and it has yet to give up the ghost.

I admire its tenacity. And yet, I feel for the poor employees who are left wondering just when the doors will close for good.

  1. Tell them to hold out their clearance sale for a few more days! I have two rooms full of furniture to buy! 🙂

Hope you’re having a great time on vacation!

  2. Thanks, Crystal!

Looking forward to having you in the neighborhood!

  3. We actually got an entertainment center from the HPFC. They gave us an excellent price- hauling it up the driveway was another thing! We about bought out the store at another furniture going out of business sale: Ashby’s furniture on Fayetteville Road. Good thing we did, though, because the rest of our stuff still isn’t here from Ohio.

Hope the “bug” has left you and you’re up and about and feeling well again.
