My blogmate Jamie Gaines posted about Bill Gates starting a blog. Reading that got me wandering around to other tech legends whom I thought would have more interesting blogs.
One of those characters is Steve Wozniak, the wizard engineer who built Apple Computer (hell, the whole damn computer industry!). According to his website, he visited the Pack Macintosh Users Group at N.C. State on April 26th.
I can’t believe this legendary man was in Raleigh and I didn’t find out about it until two months later. Life is just not fair.
You had to get tickets and they were all given out very early. I got on the waiting list with about 3 months to spare and finally got a ticket in like the last week before he showed up. His talk was just about his life, basically. One of the main things I remember about it, though, was that he mentioned the Tivo in his Hummer! 🙂 Oh, and people were having him sign their iPods and iBooks, which I thought was a bit weird.
You won’t think its weird when those people outgrow their iPods and iBooks and sell them autographed on Ebay. 🙂
