I did a little more poking around on the car warranty scam today after a woman wrote me asking for more information. My blog posts had shown up on Internet searches of the phone number so I decided to see what other people had reported on 800notes.com on the number.

Lance Armstrong runs NYC Marathon
Lance Armstrong ran this year’s New York City Marathon, finishing in 2:46:23 and becoming the 698th runner to cross the finish line.
Imagine what it must have been like finishing in 697th place, just ahead of Lance. I’d have been tempted to turn around and taunt him: “In your face, Armstrong!”
It would be about the only chance you’d get to do that.
Children’s House of Raleigh fundraiser tonight at ComedyWorx
Raleigh’s own laugh factory, ComedyWorx, is holding a special fundraiser tonight for The Children’s House of Raleigh, a Montessori-based school MT.Net readers know is dear to my heart. ComedyWorx is an improv comedy group along the lines of Whose Line is it Anyway? but funnier because Wade is in it.
The show starts at 7 PM and the tickets are $20 (tax-deductible as they go to support the school). Come out and enjoy some industrial-strength laughs tonight. Do it for the children!
